Hi, I’m Mandy and I’m a career coach and writer based in Eugene, Oregon. In my early career, I worked at W Magazine and at a web agency for The New York Times, and then pivoted into marketing at large ad agencies including Ogilvy and Publicis Groupe. After I received my MBA from Columbia Business School, I went to do marketing in-house at American Express. I pushed myself extremely hard in my career, and yearned to find the “thing” that I could pour myself into, with passion and everlasting verve.
Looking for love in all the wrong places, I ended up in the NYC startup scene, where I bounced between incubators, hob-knobbed with VCs, and tried to build a startup. My first startup, a fashion technology company called TheRunthrough, was a success on paper – having raised a million dollars in funding and building a powerful and mighty team. But I thought I had to give it “my all” to succeed, and night after night of working long hours and traipsing the city in heels, doing pitch after pitch, I was burned out.
I took a break from running around, trying to make it (whatever that means), and slowed down. My family and I left NYC, and in my nomadic state (first Colorado, now Oregon), I started coaching clients as a side hustle. Like Chiron, the archetype of the wounded healer, I knew first-hand how much ambition can burn you, and how all the pushing is actually just a symptom of wanting to find something lasting and meaningful that you can devote yourself to.
In 2021, now a misfit from the corporate world, I started posting about my career coaching on TikTok. Since I didn’t work for anyone, I could be honest: about the good, the bad, and the ugly of our own ambition and search for meaning. Fueled by delusion, I started writing these self-help journals (my first one, the Should I Quit journal, was a little inside joke with myself – but it ended up being a hit!). Little by little, I grew a brand based on honesty, humor, and giving unhinged pep talks on the internet. This led to a YouTube channel where I could really go off the deep end and give full body motivational talks.
My first book (I have always dreamed of being an author), Heal Your Career Wounds, is published by New World Library and available wherever books are sold! Since May 2026, I also run a private community called The Everyday Creative Club, where we come together bonded by a mission to be more creative, grow our businesses, and try new shit!
Thanks so much for reading!

PS. Now I live on a 4 acre farm in Eugene, Oregon and we have 7 chickens and 2 cats….sooo life is getting better and better! I do offer private 1:1 sessions, though to be honest you’ll probably get more value, community, and consistent face time with me out of the group.
